Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković said today that Serbia strongly condemns last night's act of destruction of part of the Ibar-Lepenac canal, in the municipality of Zubin Potok.
Speaking at an extraordinary press conference at the Palace of Serbia, Petković rejected, as he pointed out, the false accusations of Albin Kurti and Xhelal Sveçla that Belgrade was in any way involved in this serious incident.
The attack on the water supply infrastructure is an attack on peace and an attack on the interests of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, he emphasised and reiterated that everything that has been happening in recent days is aimed at expelling the Serbian people from Kosovo and Metohija.
According to him, last night's events in Zubin Potok give Kurti an alibi to continue with the new persecution of the Serbian people in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, which he does all the time.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that today the Kosovo policemen randomly broke into houses, pointed guns at women and children and arrested people, and then released them under the pretext that it was a mistake.
