The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications today sent an appeal and call to journalist associations, as well as all relevant international institutions present in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, to react decisively and quickly regarding yesterday's arrest of Dušan Milanović from Leposavić, the founder of the information portal "Kosovo Online".

The harassment, threats and persecution that the so-called authorities in Priština are carrying out against members of the Serb community, in the case of the arrest of Dušan Milanović, also clearly demonstrate the intention to prevent freedom of public information and the disclosure of the truth about the events in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija by putting pressure on media workers.
The Ministry demands that these and similar actions be stopped immediately, and that Milanović be released from custody as soon as possible so that he can defend himself from the accusations against him for which we are convinced that are completely unfounded, the statement said.
