Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković opened the exhibition "Sport in Art" last night at the Cultural Centre of Serbia in Paris. The art of sport", on the occasion of the upcoming Olympic Games in the capital of France.
On that occasion, Selaković pointed out that during the Olympic Games, the brilliance will shine from as many as two Serbian houses in Paris, which will simultaneously present the spirit of Serbian Olympism and Serbian art to the participants and visitors of these Olympic Games.
The exhibition presents 44 works of art and objects created from 1858 to 2018. The exhibition includes works by Sava Šumanović, Ivan Radović, Petar Dobrović, Ivan Tabaković, Steve Todorović, Petr Omčikus, Dušan Todorović, Bojan Bem, Uroš Đurić, Tomislav Peternek, Henry Moore, Andy Warhol, Say Twombly, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Gottfried Helwein and James Rosenquist.
Visitors will be able to see sports props, medals and photographs from the collection of the Museum of Yugoslavia and artistic photographs from the Museum of Contemporary Art, which testify to the participation of Yugoslav athletes in the Olympic Games.
