Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today in Austria with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell after the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the informal group "Friends of the Western Balkans" and partners from the Western Balkans.

Đurić pointed out that membership in the European Union is a strategic commitment and priority of Serbia's foreign policy, pointing out that our country shares European values and stands up for them, as well as that we want to contribute to the peace, stability and prosperity of Europe.
Referring to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the Minister pointed out that Belgrade is fully committed to dialogue with Priština under the auspices of the EU, and added that at this moment it is necessary, first of all, to ensure the safety of the Serbian population and to implement all obligations from the agreements reached now.
Emphasising that the situation regarding Kosovo and Metohija is extremely difficult, Đurić pointed out that the Serbs are suffering unbearable pressure as a result of the culmination of long-term and systematic unilateral actions by the Priština authorities.
