Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke in Brussels today with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
Đurić pointed out that in the previous years, Serbia made an exceptional step forward when it comes to strengthening our economy, developing infrastructure and institutions.
Stating that our country wants to be recognised for all the good things it has done so far, he underlined that Serbia wants to have an equal place at the European table and not to be treated as a second-class country in any way.
The head of Serbian diplomacy assessed that Serbia will have completed all the difficult reforms necessary for EU accession by 2027, and expressed hope that the efforts of our country will finally, after 27 years since it started on that political path, be valued.
Đurić stated that he also discussed with the High Representative the position of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as many specific aspects of the violation of collective political and human rights of Serbs.
