Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić today hosted a delegation of the American-Serbian Business Council, with whose representatives he discussed Serbia's economic potential and capacity to attract foreign direct investment.
On that occasion, Đurić referred to last year's establishment of the American-Serbian Business Council in Washington as a successful realisation of a common vision, and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Council and companies representatives for the excellent cooperation so far within this format.
The head of Serbian diplomacy underlined that the further improvement of relations with the USA remains one of our key commitments, where economic, investment, energy, infrastructural and technological cooperation is of particular importance.
He expressed satisfaction with the recently concluded Agreement on Strategic Cooperation in the Energy Sector, which is becoming one of the key pillars of bilateral economic cooperation.
Also, as he added, the USA is among the leading foreign trade partners and Serbia's main export market when it comes to trade in services, especially ICT services.
The delegation of the American-Serbian Business Council consisted, in addition to the leadership, of representatives of renowned American and global companies, including Bechtel, Visa, Citi, Palo Alto Networks, Pfizer, Merck, MSD, Archer Daniels Midland, Organon, USBC and other.
