Prime Minister Miloš Vučević spoke today with Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Serbia Martijn Elgersma about economic cooperation and the Netherlands' support for the European integration of Serbia.
Vučević pointed out that the priority of our country is the further strengthening of bilateral relations and that Serbia is committed to improving economic cooperation and increasing trade with the Netherlands, stressing that Serbia's strategic goal is accession to the European Union.
The Prime Minister assessed that the implemented reforms, especially in the field of economy, contributed to strengthening the Serbian economy and improving the standard of living of the citizens.
Speaking about economic cooperation, he stated that the Netherlands is an important partner and highlighted Serbia's interest in deepening relations with that country, with special emphasis on Dutch investments in some of the key projects in Serbia.
The Netherlands can offer us valuable experience in areas such as environmental protection, agriculture, sustainable infrastructure, the IT sector and energy efficiency, added the Prime Minister.
Ambassador Elgersma pointed out that the Netherlands is committed to cooperation with Serbia and that the Dutch companies that are already present on our market are operating successfully.
He also stated that the interest of possible new investors is visible and expressed his belief that economic ties will strengthen in areas of mutual interest.
Elgersma also said that the Netherlands supports Serbia on the road to European integration.
