Prime Minister Miloš Vučević met today with representatives of British American Tobacco to discuss the company’s operations and new projects planned at its factory in Vranje.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the company has significant cooperation with Serbia, recalling that the Vranje factory is currently one of the most successful in Serbia, as well as within the British American Tobacco group, with constant improvements in operations and a stable market position.
The announced business expansion and the introduction of a new production line based on new technologies demonstrate that the company is satisfied with its operations in Serbia, he noted.
Representatives of British American Tobacco expressed satisfaction with doing business in Serbia and the stable environment created by the government, which provides long-term prospects for production, business expansion and new jobs.
They emphasised that a significant investment in a new manufacturing line is planned for products representing new technologies, which will significantly expand capacities and further strengthen the operations of the Vranje factory.
