Vučević, who toured the site together with Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanović and Ložionica Director Ana Ilić, emphasised that this centre is situated at a location rich in Serbian history.
This is a hub of our history, one that we do not renounce, a past that we must not forget, and at the same time it represents a vision of how we would like Serbia to develop in the future in light of new industries, he explained.
The Prime Minister assessed that such facilities are also needed in Subotica, Kragujevac, Valjevo, Užice, Zaječar, Niš, Leskovac, Vranje and other parts of the country.
Ilić explained that while the Ložionica buildings are already complete, the space will truly come to life through the programs and activities of young people who will occupy it.
According to her, it will be a space where knowledge can be acquired and exchanged and where new products, artworks, and other creative endeavours will flourish.
The complex covers spans than 23,000 square metres, with Ložionica itself occupying 4,800 square metres offering ample opportunities for various creative activities – workshops, classrooms, meeting rooms, presentations, rehearsals and exhibition spaces.
In addition to this, a new 11,000-square metre office building is under construction, which will house office space for the Ložionica management and the Office for IT and eGovernment.
