In a telephone conversation, Đurić emphasised that Serbia and Israel have had increasingly productive political and economic ties in recent years, and there is a clear interest on Serbia’s part in building on existing relations and opening new areas of bilateral cooperation.
The head of Serbian diplomacy stated that Serbia supports the beginning of a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, expressing hope that this is a prelude to calming the situation in southern Lebanon and the Middle East.
