The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation stated today that the Belgrade Ministerial Declaration on Artificial Intelligence has been officially adopted, with the consent of 44 member states of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence and the European Union.

On this occasion, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović stated that the adoption of the Belgrade Declaration is a great diplomatic success of Serbia.
She recalled that Serbia proposed the Declaration after the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence Summit, and the importance of this document is seen in the fact that it insists on mechanisms that will regulate artificial intelligence legally and ethically in the future.
According to her, a large number of countries around the world are included in this process and therefore the agreement has weight and value.
The Minister added that one of the goals of the Declaration is to reduce the gap between technologically less and more advanced countries in order for all of us to move together into the technological future at same speed. In order to achieve all that, the Declaration ensures a more active inclusion of science in all processes.
