Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić today received Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Jan Braathu on a farewell visit, to whom he expressed his gratitude for the commitment shown in the joint work of the Ministry of the Interior and this important international organisation aimed at maintaining security.

Dačić told the outgoing Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia that the Serbian police are fully committed to fulfilling their tasks related to the protection of all citizens and the preservation of security and the rule of law.
He underlined the importance of OSCE support in the reform processes and the strengthening of the capacities of the Ministry of the Interior.
The interlocutors also highlighted the results achieved through joint efforts in the areas of combating all forms of crime, especially prevention work, as well as educating children in elementary schools about safe behaviour.
Dačić wished Braathu much success in his future work and expressed confidence that successful cooperation would continue during the mandate of the new Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
