Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić stated today that members of the Ministry of the Interior, who participated in securing the 15 March rally, made a key contribution to preserving peace and stability, and he once again rejected allegations about the use of unauthorised equipment during the event.

At a news conference, Dačić explained that no one present at the rally saw the so-called sound cannon because the police did not deploy it, and taking full moral and political responsibility, he emphasised that the Serbian police have never used such a device in their history and will not do so in the future.
The Deputy Prime Minister insisted that the investigation led by the Prosecutor’s Office answer all questions related to these false allegations.
According to him, this investigation should also determine how the dissemination of these false claims occurred, as this could have unforeseeable consequences for the reputation of the state and the police.
