Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović stated at the opening of the Serbian-Chinese Business Forum today that more and more Chinese companies are deciding to start their production in Serbia, recognising the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

Mesarović explained at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce that this agreement allows Chinese companies to import raw materials from China to Serbia duty-free, and then export finished products to large markets in Europe, Eurasia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
She added that preferential trade with markets such as the United States and Great Britain is available for certain product groups.
When it comes to Serbia’s exports to China, according to her, the goal is to expand the range of products and services beyond traditional products such as meat, wine, brandy, truffles and marmalade.
We are thinking more and more about joint investments, research into new technologies, digital transformation and cooperation in the field of innovation and the IT sector, Mesarović explained.
