Outgoing Prime Minister Miloš Vučević visited today the newly built Čarolija kindergarten in Ćićevac, which can accommodate 200 children and whose construction required an investment of approximately RSD 190 million.
During the visit, Vučević said that 23 kindergartens are currently under construction, noting, however, that it is concerning that fewer children were born in Serbia last year and that even the most modern facilities are of little use if there is no demographic potential.
He underscored the need to encourage higher birth rates, emphasising that the state will do everything in its power to improve the unfavourable demographic situation, while also noting the strong interest among young people in housing loans under favourable conditions.
Speaking about projects aimed at boosting the development of the Rasina District, Vučević said that issues concerning the primary school and the secondary water supply network in Ćićevac are expected to be resolved, also announcing the implementation of numerous projects in Aleksandrovac, Varvarin and Kruševac.
