In an article published in the holiday edition of Vecernje novosti, Vucic wrote that bridging the gap between Serbia and highly developed countries requires constant improvement.
We have launched serious reforms, strengthened the infrastructure and introduced order in the state coffers, saved funds, boosted investments and employment and also started to raise salaries and pensions, thereby also boosting spending, he said.
We are fast creating institutional conditions for even quicker development, Vucic wrote.
He said that he became the Prime Minister of Serbia to bring some prosperity, for Serbia to become economically strong and a decent country, and that every citizen of Serbia has the chance to study and advance.

The Prime Minister underlined that we have to teach our children to have faith in themselves, to work hard and to have work ethics and to save, which must be the foundation of the reform of education – a combination of work and learning, where learning should be continued after school.
Much should be learned from the mistakes of others and that is why I insist on building a strong state, the state that simultaneously creates conditions, but also affects the main economic trends, he said.
For this reason, he added, we must insist on bringing investors and infrastructure construction, and have the knowledge, investment and jobs faster.
