The Ministry of Culture and the Media announced today that a meeting of the ministers of culture of the member countries of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) will be held in Belgrade on 23 November.
In accordance with the existing practice and the Action Plan of the Working Group, the Ministerial Meeting will be preceded by a meeting of the Working Group on Culture to be held on 22 November.
The BSEC, founded in 1992, with headquarters in Istanbul, comprises twelve countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine and Serbia.
This is the first high-level conference in the field of culture after eleven years, after a meeting held in Greece in 2007.
A joint document related to the priorities and goals of regional cooperation in the field of culture – the Belgrade Declaration – should be signed, which will mark the completion of Serbia’s two-year mandate, the statement said.
