Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition "On the road around the world tonight. Art from Germany", at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade.
The exhibition was opened by Acting Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Slobodan Nakarad, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia Thomas Schieb and Minister of Culture and the Media Vladan Vukosavljevic.
Minister of Culture and the Media Vladan Vukosavljevic pointed out that this is an exceptional artistic event and the first exhibition of foreign artists in the newly opened Museum of Contemporary Arts.
Vukosavljevic said that the exhibited works are carefully selected whereas the German Ambassador said that the exhibition includes photographs, sculptures, paintings and installations.
He reminded that the first exhibition of German art in the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade was held in 1967.
Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Slobodan Nakarada said that the exhibition was organised in cooperation with the Goethe institute.
The exhibition will feature works from the collection of the Institute for International Cultural Relations from 1949 until today.
