A delegation of the Ministry of Culture and the Media, led by Minister Vladan Vukosavljevic, takes part in the Fourth Ministerial Forum on Cultural Cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (17 + 1), held in Skopje.
Vukosavljevic told Forum participants that our country is fully participating in the activities of the 17 + 1 Initiative and that the strengthening of cultural ties among the members of this group is one of the priorities of the Serbian Ministry of Culture and the Media.
Vukosavljevic also pointed to good relations between Serbia and China, which in the last two years have improved cooperation and developed a process of mutual familiarisation and exchange of experiences in the fields of art, digitalisation and the media.
The Minister recalled that Serbia has a rich cultural heritage that it seeks to protect and pass on to future generations for safekeeping, because awareness of tradition, origin and customs is a crucial part of national and personal identity.
He expressed confidence that the projects planned by the Declaration, signed by the participants of the Forum, and the Cooperation Plan for 2020-2021, will be implemented.
The Fourth Ministerial Forum on cultural cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe within the delegations of the member states was attended by the ministers of culture of China Luo Shugang, North Macedonia Husni Ismaili, Slovenia Zoran Poznic and Montenegro Aleksandar Bogdanovic.
