The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on amendments to the Law on culture, with the aim of further regulating this area and establishing the framework for implementation of the overall cultural policy of our country.
The proposed legal solutions will provide support for cultural activities that foster the development of cultural needs, promotion of activities, animation and mediation in cultural institutions, interpretation of cultural heritage and development of content and programmes for children and the young.
It will also define criteria on the basis of which the importance of manifestations qualifying as recognisable brands at the local and central level will be evaluated, thus encouraging the further development of cultural tourism as one of the preconditions for integrating cultural development into socio-economic and political long-term development of our society.
The proposed solutions will enable a uniform and efficient way of using new information technologies in the field of culture by using unique software solutions in the process of digital restoration and protection of documentation of funds, collections, as well as movable and immovable cultural property.
This also enables harmonisation with international conventions and relevant documents of international organisations in the field of culture.
The government also adopted a text of the special collective agreement for health institutions founded by the Republic of Serbia, an autonomous province and a unit of local self-government, as well as a text of the collective agreement for employees of the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia in order to ensure continuity in the exercise of employees' rights in the duration of three years.
This document is the result of the work of the Ministry of Health with trade unions in the health sector, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, the Ministry of Finance, the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia and the Chamber of Health Institutions.
