At today’s session, the government adopted the Decree on the conditions and manner of allocating and using funds to encourage the improvement of domestic tourism activity in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
The right to 30,000 vouchers this year will be granted to pensioners, unemployed persons, beneficiaries of the allowance for assistance and care by another person, employees with monthly earnings not exceeding RSD 70,000, disabled war veterans, holders of agricultural holdings, students, and persons over the age of 65 who do not receive a pension.
The government also approved the provision of funds to the Centre for Education of Roma and Ethnic Communities in Belgrade to organise a conference on the plight of Roma during the conflict in Kosovo and Metohija in 1999, in order to raise awareness of this event among the general public.
Thanks to cooperation with the World Roma Organisation, as well as expert, material and technical support from the government and the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, the conference will bring together representatives of international organisations working on Roma-related issues in Serbia, along with around 40 internally displaced persons from Kosovo and Metohija who live in Serbia, as well as in Western Europe and the United States.
The cabinet further adopted a Conclusion on the continuation of the implementation of the World in Serbia project in the 2024/2025 academic year, recognising its successful implementation to date and the interest shown by a large number of member and observer states of the Non-Aligned Movement.
