Stefanovic and Lavrov, who met during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to our country, pointed out that the signed agreement will enable faster exchange of information in the fight against terrorism and exchange of experiences and practices in this area, which is very important for security of the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Lavrov for the support that the Russian Federation provided to our country in the fight against the coronavirus, assessing that it came at the right time.
He also conveyed gratitude for the support of the Russian Federation to Serbia in preventing the entry of the so-called Kosovo into Interpol, which prevented the violation of international law.
Stefanovic pointed out that Serbia is committed to strengthening overall relations and strategic partnership with the Russian Federation, with one of the special goals being strengthening cooperation in the field of security.
Also, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Lavrov on marking the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism, emphasising that we must never forget what our two countries did in that fight.
Lavrov said that the Russian Federation is firmly committed to respecting the Resolution 1244 of the United Nations Security Council and that a solution to the issue of Kosovo and Metohija can only be achieved by agreement between the two sides.
