At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted three decrees in the field arising from the Law on Electronic Invoicing, the application of which will bring benefit to citizens and the economy by using e-invoices.
The government adopted the Decree on the conditions and manner of using the invoice management system, the Decree on the conditions and manner of storing and making available electronic invoices and the manner of ensuring the authenticity and integrity of paper invoices and the Decree on the procedure and conditions for giving and revoking consent to perform the tasks of an information intermediary.
Electronic invoicing is both the best solution and an example of good practice in the countries of the European Union.
The use of the system of electronic invoices will be free of charge and will provide greater legal security in the areas of their delivery, receipt and storage, and at the same time contribute to the acceleration of the work and business process.
Also, e-invoices will save time needed to work with invoices, as there is no need to issue, receive and store them on paper, while time savings will be achieved by searching for electronic invoices requires less time than searches of paper archives.
The Government has adopted the Programme for the Reform of the Local Self-Government System in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2021 to 2025.
The programme, as a strategic document, envisages improving the functioning of local self-government through decentralization of state administration affairs and strengthening the capacity of cities and municipalities for efficient implementation of public affairs and procedures, establishing inter-municipal cooperation and applying the principles of good governance.
The programme will be implemented through several chapters related to the vision and general goal of local government reform, its key international, constitutional and legal context, as well as a concrete description of the current situation when it comes to key topics concerning local governments.
