State-of-the-art NCR tech campus opens in Belgrade

Belgrade, 5 October 2021

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended today the opening of a new, state-of-the-art technology campus of US company NCR, which will employ over 5,000 people.

The campus spans approximately 30,000 square metres and is located in Block 42 in New Belgrade, and the total value of the investment is over $100 million.

This is the biggest NCR campus in Europe, which will also be a centre for the development of new technologies and a point where ideas of the company and the local community will meet and be exchanged.

NCR started its business operations in Serbia in 2011 and it currently employs over 4,200 people and supports 5,100 clients worldwide. The cornerstone for the campus was laid in May 2019.

Vucic said that a lot of effort and energy have been invested to make NCR come to Serbia, employ 5,000 young people and send a message to other US investors that Serbia is a good location for doing business.

NCR has so far paid back into the budget of Serbia five times the value of state subsidies it had received to start its operations in our country, which shows what a good decision that was, he said.

According to the Serbian President, NCR is the largest US employer in Serbia and one of the biggest investors.

Brnabic noted that the building in New Belgrade looks much more beautiful than the one in Atlanta.

NCR is the world’s technological leader in the provision of high quality and expert support to companies from various sectors, including finances, tourism, hospitality, telecommunications, entertainment, games of chance and public sector.
