On behalf of the Government and all citizens of Serbia, Vučević expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy to Mucunski for the immense tragedy that has struck North Macedonia, noting that Serbia will do everything it can to ensure that the injured who are being treated in our country win this most difficult battle.
We pray to God to give strength to the families of the deceased and to help the injured and doctors everywhere, not only in Serbia and North Macedonia, but also in Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria – wherever the patients are located – to endure this battle and return to their homes and families, the Prime Minister said.
Serbia stands with North Macedonia, Vučević said, adding that the largest number of patients treated outside North Macedonia are in Serbia, which is at North Macedonia’s disposal if additional efforts are needed.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Serbian Armed Forces and doctors for the excellent organisation in receiving the injured, emphasising that he is proud of them.
The message to the families of the injured who are being treated in Serbia is that these children are also our children and that we will do everything we can to help them win this most difficult battle, the Prime Minister emphasised.
Vučević sent the message to the people of North Macedonia to stand united and not to allow anyone to divide them, noting that in times of great tragedy, it is most necessary to be collected and united.
Mucunski expressed gratitude to Serbia and the Serbian people for all the help and empathy that was provided and shown in connection with the tragedy in Kočani.
He said that North Macedonia is grateful to Serbia for accommodating a large number of injured people in its healthcare facilities and for being among the first to come to the country’s aid.
The solidarity of your country, doctors and people has been evident. I pray for the health of these people, and thank you for what you are doing for us, the Minister emphasised, adding that in addition to Serbia, the injured were also transferred to Greece, Bulgaria and other countries in the region.
