Gojkovic, who is on an official visit to Greece, assessed that the relations between our two nations are traditionally good and friendly, and that Serbia will never forget that Greece has always been with our country and people in the most difficult moments in history, but also in current time.
Gojkovic and Mendoni discussed the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the field of film and a memorandum of cooperation in the fight against illicit trade in cultural goods and stated that the opportunity to sign these documents will be a session of the High Council in Belgrade soon.
It was pointed out that the potentials of cooperation between Serbia and Greece in the field of film production are very great and that it is important to encourage co-production projects, bearing in mind that both countries pay special attention to the development of the film industry.
Mendoni pointed out that Greece is a great advocate and protagonist of the fight against illegal trade, that it wants to strengthen cooperation for the return of alienated cultural heritage, and that it has a special interest in cooperation between museums and other institutions on this issue with friendly countries.
Gojkovic and Mendoni discussed mechanisms for expanding cooperation between related cultural institutions, as well as in the field of literature, publishing, theatre and in the field of preserving war and military memorials.
The interlocutors also agreed on the importance of cooperation between the capitals of culture of Novi Sad and Greek Eleusis, as well as that the exchange of cultural contacts between the two cultural capitals will be welcomed and accepted by the citizens.
