First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic attended today the opening of the first French-Serbian Innovation Forum, which will focus on digitalisation of industrial processes and the future of agriculture and food.

At the Museum of Science and Technology, Ruzic said that this meeting is a good opportunity for representatives of companies, students, investors and representatives of institutions to discuss potentials for Serbian-French innovations and for Serbia to present its places of science and technology and its possibilities to the public.
Serbia has recognised the importance of artificial intelligence and is the first country in the region of South Eastern Europe to have adopted the Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy, Ruzic underlined and recalled that in March 2021 the government decided to establish an artificial intelligence centre in Novi Sad.
In addition to Ruzic, the forum was opened by French Ambassador to Serbia Pierre Cochard and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret. The forum has gathered researchers, investors, clusters, start-ups, public institutions, students and it serves as a platform for creating partnerships.
