Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić spoke today with Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Roman Kurynin about further improving cooperation between the two countries in the field of emergency situations.

Dačić and Kurynin reached an agreement that fires, earthquakes, floods and technical and technological accidents are challenges faced by all countries and that timely response by fire and rescue services is necessary in order to minimise the consequences and remediate them as soon as possible.
The two officials emphasised that continuous investment in equipment and training of fire-fighters and rescuers is key to an effective response to every challenge.
