Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with President of the Senate of the Republic of France Gerard Larchet, who is on an official visit to Serbia with the delegation of that body.
The head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out the importance of continuing the political dialogue, expressing the hope that contacts and visits at the highest and highest level will continue.
He reminded that mutual contacts and conversations bring back memories of everything that Serbia and France have in common and that connects them, through the long and rich history of the two nations.
Larchet confirmed the importance of the strategic partnership of the two countries, especially its economic, cultural and defence dimensions, emphasising the importance of the presence and representation of Serbia at a high level at the Summit and Ministerial Conference of the Francophonie in Djerba, considering that this organisation should, in addition to the economic, have a greater political role on the international level.
On this occasion, the President of the Senate of France confirmed the support and offered all the necessary help of that country in the process of European integration of Serbia, especially through the cooperation of the competent committees of the two parliaments.
