Rakhmanin said that the FAO is ready to allocate €300,000 under the Technical Assistance Programme for Emergency Response to help Serbia and the most vulnerable municipalities in repairing flood damage.
The allocated funds will be directed to the 10 most vulnerable municipalities, 250 agricultural farms, and priority will be given to agricultural farms that suffered the greatest damage to crops, land, greenhouses, seeds, as well as those farms run by women and young people, which is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.
During her visit to the FAO representative office, Tanaskovic signed the Programme Framework for the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2022 to 2025, which establishes the priority areas towards which FAO will direct its support in partnership cooperation with the member country, which implies the unification of the best innovative practices and global standards with local and regional expertise.
