Overall relations of Serbia, Azerbaijan at their highest level in history

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, stressing that the overall relations between the two countries are at their highest level in history, which is best evidenced by the two presidential visits realised last year in the space of just one month.

Brnabic expressed her gratitude for Azerbaijan's support in preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and said that the good and meaningful relations between the two countries should be further extended to other areas of cooperation, among which is certainly cooperation in areas such as energy, economy, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals, industry and biotechnology.

Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan's firm and principled position when it comes to supporting Serbia's efforts in preserving sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He said that the support of Azerbaijan in international organisations will continue unconditionally, which is best shown by the example of voting against the decision to start the procedure for considering the membership of the so-called "Kosovo" in the Council of Europe.

The Prime Minister warmly thanked Azerbaijan for its support to our bid to host the EXPO 2027 specialised exhibition, and invited Azerbaijan to take part in this prestigious event.
