State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Miodrag Ivanović, attended this evening, at the Kolarac Endowment, the concert of the Chinese National Traditional Orchestra, which ends the festivities marking the Chinese New Year in Belgrade.
On that occasion, Ivanovic pointed out that this event symbolises the relations between Serbia and China in the field of culture, and that the steel friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation of the two countries will be strengthened this year in accordance with the vision of the two presidents.
He assessed that the concert, which was organised by the Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, was the highlight of the celebration of the Chinese New Year, and reminded that as part of the Spring Festival, events took place all over Serbia – in Nis, Novi Sad, Smederevo and in the end in Belgrade.
According to him, the performance of the concert by the Chinese National Traditional Orchestra is in accordance with the "Belt and Road" initiative and the priorities of the development of Serbia's international cultural cooperation.
Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Serbia Li Ming emphasised that music knows no borders, that it can overcome cultural or linguistic barriers, but also be used as a bridge and connection for the improvement of mutual understanding between our two peoples.
