Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović discussed today with representatives of the World Bank the continuation of the Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Growth Entrepreneurship (SAIGE) project, as well as the possibility of launching a new project of this type that would have new goals, activities and participants.

Speaking at an online meeting, which was also attended by delegations from the line ministry and BIO4 Campus, Begović expressed her satisfaction with the results of the SAIGE project to date.
The meeting also discussed the public call for applications for scientific and research projects within the Science Fund’s IDEAS 2024 programme, as well as the Innovation Fund’s Katapult programme.
The Minister highlighted the importance of these programmes, as they represent a key incentive for the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Serbia.
Representatives of the World Bank congratulated the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation on the successful cooperation so far and expressed their desire for it to continue in the future through new projects.
