The Minister also spoke with Minister of the Federal Ministry of the Interior of Switzerland Élisabeth Baume-Schneider about the prevention of violence against women and children, especially in light of the fact that Macura recently met with Minister Beat Jans and representatives of the Guido Fluri Foundation in Strasbourg, as part of the Justice Initiative.
On the sidelines of the 69th session of CSW69, Macura also met with Minister for Social Equality and the Women's Empowerment of the State of Israel May Golan, with whom she discussed the position of women in the two countries.
The interlocutors exchanged experiences on national policies that support women in their societies, with a special emphasis on supporting women who want to become mothers through assisted reproduction programmes, as well as on the protection of women from violence.
On this occasion, Macura presented the "I Protect You" platform as an example of good practice in the fight against peer violence and violence against children, which aroused great interest from Minister Golan.
The Israeli side expressed its willingness to learn more about this solution through further cooperation and a visit to Serbia, given the importance that such platforms can have in the prevention and protection of the most vulnerable groups.
The meeting confirmed the strong commitment of both countries to strengthening cooperation in the field of gender equality, protection of women and social equality, and it was agreed to continue communication and exchange of good practices through further bilateral activities.
