Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić said today, in a meeting with Minister of State of the United Kingdom for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty that Serbia is interested in further improving political dialogue and cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest.

Đurić expressed hope that the dialogue and political relations between the two countries will move towards establishing a strategic dialogue.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said that membership in the European Union is a strategic commitment and a priority of Serbia’s foreign policy.
Đurić informed the British Minister about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, underlining that the constant provocations and unilateral actions of Priština are unacceptable and represent a continuation of the policy of terror and intimidation.
He reiterated that Belgrade is fully committed to dialogue with Priština, but that at this moment it is necessary, above all, to ensure the security of the Serb population, to implement without further delay all obligations from the agreements reached so far and to guarantee respect for the electoral will of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
