Minister of European Integration in Tanja Miščević and UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Serbia Multi Country Office Director Michela Telatin signed an agreement today at the Serbian government building that will enable the provision of technical support in the establishment of a centre of excellence.

The agreement will contribute to the improvement of technical and analytical capacities of the line ministry and other key institutions in EU accession negotiations.
Miščević stressed that the establishment of a centre of excellence will play an important role in the implementation of Serbia’s plan to be fully prepared to transpose EU acquis by the end of 2026.
The Minister emphasised that this is an enormous undertaking that awaits Serbia, one requiring assistance in knowledge and knowledge transfer from other member states or experts who have dealt with the matter.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by Norwegian Ambassador to Serbia Kristin Melsom, who emphasised that the centre is more than an initiative and that it will foster innovation and partnership and help Serbia achieve its EU agenda.
