Minister of Information and Telecommunications Dejan Ristić presented today to President of Burundi Évariste Ndayishimiy the work of the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade and discussed with him the long-term cooperation between the two countries in the field of telecommunications and the development of the ICT sector.

At the meeting, Ristić and Ndayishimiy discussed the possibilities of providing support to Burundi in the process of digitalisation of state administration, public finances, economy and society as a whole.
They also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of telecommunications infrastructure, the development of digital services and the application of modern technological solutions, which could contribute to the modernisation of the public and economic sectors of Burundi.
On this occasion, some of the most innovative projects of Serbian startup companies were presented, which have developed advanced solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, information security, and the development of smart systems.
