Outgoing Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar today presented employment contracts to a new group of healthcare workers who are returning to Serbia through the Ministry’s Diaspora Office to begin work in local hospitals.
This group consists of nurses and medical technicians who, after working in Germany, Austria, the United Arab Emirates and Malta, will now continue their professional and personal lives in Leskovac, Prokuplje, Veliko Gradište and Belgrade.
Lončar wished the healthcare professionals a successful return and a positive start to their work, emphasising that in the past 10 years, Serbia’s healthcare system has seen significant improvements, supported by substantial state investments and the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment and medical devices.
He also highlighted a shift in staffing policy, noting that the state now employs the top graduates from medical schools and supports specialisation and advanced professional training.
