At the meeting, Serbia’s representatives presented progress in the field of public administration reform, while representatives of the European Commission delegation, led by Deputy Head of Unit B2 of the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood Julien Crampes, shared their views on individual issues.
Žarić Kovačević said that the line ministry is focused on modernising and adapting the work of state bodies to the needs of citizens and the economy, with the clear goal of public administration being at the service of citizens, and not citizens at the service of bureaucracy.
Miščević pointed out that without progress in public administration reform, there is no overall progress in the negotiations.
According to her, reforms are proven by results, and one way to accelerate them is to digitalise all platforms that serve to organise the implementation of numerous activities and monitor their performance.
The Serbian delegation expressed gratitude for the continuous support and assistance that the EU provides to the country in all efforts to align with the model of the European Administrative Space.
