Đedović Handanović underlined that the certification of Transportgas, issued by the Energy Agency, marks a significant step forward in Serbia’s gas sector reforms.
She recalled that all the targets set out in the Reform Agenda, defined up to December 2024, relating to reforms in the electricity sector, have already been met.
The certification process took a very long time, with the issue remaining relevant for the past 11 years as one of the goals in the reform of the gas sector, she noted.
Through dedicated efforts, the challenging process has now been brought to a close, with the strong involvement of Transportgas, Srbijagas and the Energy Agency, thereby meeting all the requirements set by the European Commission, the Minister stressed.
Participants in the meeting also addressed the remaining objectives of the Reform Agenda, which are to be fulfilled by June this year, in accordance with the Conclusion on the Adoption of the Reform Agenda 2024-2027, which the Government passed on 3 October 2024, concerning further reforms in the gas sector.
