Đurić holds numerous bilateral meetings at Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Belgrade/Antalya, 12 April 2025

Outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić stated today in Antalya that economic cooperation between Serbia and Germany is developing dynamically from year to year, through growing trade exchange and a constant inflow of investments from German companies.

During a meeting with Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Debureaucratisation of the German State of Hesse Manfred Pentz, held on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Đurić emphasised that Pentz made a great contribution to the development of ties between the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the State of Hesse, which further strengthened the comprehensive relations between the two countries.

According to him, the most significant part of Serbia’s total economic exchange is with Germany, which is also the largest investor in our country.

The head of Serbian diplomacy reiterated that membership in the European Union is Serbia’s strategic commitment, pointing out that reforms remain our priority, but also that we hope that the Union will adequately evaluate all our efforts.

In a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Diaspora of Burkina Faso Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré, Đurić said that Serbia is firmly committed to improving overall bilateral relations and cooperation with this country.

According to him, there is significant room for improving cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, but also new technologies and education.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to Burkina Faso for confirming its participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, emphasising that this event is a very good opportunity to further connect our two countries.

During a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Yván Eduardo Gil Pinto, Đurić noted that the two countries have been fostering decades of friendly relations, based on mutual respect and understanding, and emphasised that Serbia is committed to their further improvement and strengthening in areas of mutual interest.

Speaking about mutual support in the international arena, he expressed his gratitude for Venezuela’s consistent and firm stance on respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
