Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić stated today, during a meeting with President of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament Rolando González Patricio, that Serbia is committed to further enhancing cooperation with the countries of the region.

Đurić emphasised that Serbia attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean and that it continues to strengthen activities to establish and build institutional cooperation with regional organisations in that part of the world, which are important forums for meetings and exchange of opinions in various areas.
Regarding bilateral cooperation, he pointed out that Serbia has traditionally fostered good and friendly relations with the countries of the region and that it will continue the positive trend of intensifying relations with these geographically distant, but close and important partners.
The head of Serbian diplomacy also expressed appreciation for the positions held by many countries in the region concerning respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, and their consistent commitment to the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
