The participants reviewed capabilities, results achieved in advancement, equipment and training, and the future steps towards the development of the Serbian Armed Forces, with the aim of strengthening defence capabilities.
They also discussed the current global security threats and challenges.
Vučić highlighted the importance of international cooperation and participation in peacekeeping missions, which further contributes to strengthening Serbia’s capacities and reputation, adding that the Serbian Armed Forces is the pillar of the country’s security and the pride of the state.
He announced the continuation of the modernisation and development of the Serbian Armed Forces and investments in its equipment and people, stating that strong Armed Forces means a peaceful and safe future.
During the briefing, led by General Mojsilović, participants discussed the security situation both domestically and regionally, the conditions under which the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces have been developed, the situation in units and the overall operational and functional readiness.
Furthermore, the priorities of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces were determined, both for 2025 and the medium term.
It was noted that 2024 saw improvements in the capabilities of both active and reserve personnel, enhanced combat readiness of units and the continued acquisition of advanced military assets, with both planned and extraordinary operational tasks successfully executed.
