Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić emphasised during a meeting with Ambassador of Germany Anke Conrad and Ambassador of Finland Niklas Lindqvist today Serbia’s openness to continuing cooperation and coordination of activities with NATO through the available mechanisms of the Partnership for Peace programme.

Germany and Finland are jointly taking over the duties of NATO contact embassies for cooperation between Serbia and NATO.
Đurić pointed out that activities in the field of public diplomacy are particularly important, being aimed at adequately and objectively informing the public about the scope and content of this type of cooperation.
He emphasised that relations between Serbia and NATO are based on partnership cooperation, in accordance with Serbia’s policy of military neutrality, with the aim of preserving regional stability and security.
Đurić recalled that Serbia maintains a regular dialogue with NATO’s political and military structures, which contributes to better mutual understanding on the most important issues of interest to Serbia, especially when it comes to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
