Minister of Education Slavica Đukić-Dejanović today signed with representatives of representative education unions the Special Collective Agreement amending and supplementing the Special Collective Agreement for employees at primary and secondary schools and student dormitories.

Đukić-Dejanović stated that the signing of this Special Collective Agreement confirmed the implementation of the October 2023 protocol, adding that this also placed a moratorium on strikes.
She pointed out that solutions have been found for the disputed provisions of the protocol, citing the example of equalising the starting salary in education with the national average salary from October this year.
The signing of this document was one of the demands of the representative trade unions during negotiations with the government, she said, adding that of the 1,773 schools in Serbia, 94% are operational, with the largest number of schools – 65% – holding standard 45-minute classes.
