Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic met today with Interpol Secretary General Jürgen Stock.
Dacic emphasised that the Ministry of the Interior is a reliable partner in the fight against organised crime and conveyed his interest in deepening cooperation with Interpol, which was intense in the previous period.
The two officials agreed that Interpol is an indispensable and irreplaceable factor in the joint fight against transnational organised crime and that it is necessary to further improve and develop the existing Interpol bases and tools.
The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that the Interior Ministry will continue work on the implementation of projects from previous years and, in this sense, will continue work on deepening cooperation in the future.
The Secretary General of Interpol said that Serbia is recognised in this international police organisation as a leader in cooperation, as well as that it is a good example in all elements of work, and according to the relevant data of Interpol, it is stated in the statement of the Ministry of the Interior.
