Dačić informed his interlocutor about the implementation of tasks under the competence of the Ministry of the Interior, with the aim of making a full contribution to the improvement of the election process in the Republic of Serbia, as well as about the work of the Ministry’s Working Group on the implementation of the previously given recommendations of the ODIHR, in coordination with the Working Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that the Ministry of the Interior will continue to provide support to the authorities and bodies responsible for the implementation of elections, in terms of the timely exchange of updated data of importance for the election process, which the Ministry of the Interior processes in accordance with the law, as well as that it will work to create safe conditions for the implementation of the elections themselves.
Ambassador Zannier welcomed the formation of the Working Group of the Ministry of Interior and praised the cooperation with the Working Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, in the field of improving the election process through the implementation of ODIHR recommendations.
He highlighted the transparency in the work on the implementation of given recommendations as particularly positive.
During the talks, an agreement was reached that it is necessary to continue the good cooperation in the future, to the mutual satisfaction, according to a press release of the Ministry of the Interior.
