At the opening of the Forum on artificial intelligence "Let's innovate together in Europe" at the company "Schneider Electric" in Novi Sad, in the presence of President of France Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister of Serbia Miloš Vučević, Vučić said that Serbia has not yet completed the 5G network, but he expressed his belief that we will in the following days and weeks to start that work as well.
He pointed out that thanks to the good faculties in Novi Sad, we have extremely talented young people, because of which we have success in the entire ICT sector.
He said that we can and must develop that talent and invest in it much more, expressing gratitude to Macron for joint programs with France that we can use to succeed in this.
Macron, announcing that France will organise a summit on artificial intelligence in February, said that Serbia has an important role in the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence and chairs the group set up within the OECD, which should coordinate discussions on this topic.
According to him, if we really want Europe, which means Serbia and France, to be powers in the field of artificial intelligence, everything must be based on science so that we can work on innovations.
On that occasion, Prime Minister Vučević said that, at a time when humanity is facing global challenges, Serbia has a clear vision, which is to invest in science, education and new technologies.
We have to be ready for the future, to keep up with the most advanced technologies, because Serbia has the knowledge, capacities and opportunities for that. We continue to build science and technology parks, develop the IT sector, invest in technical faculties and in our intelligence, he pointed out.
