Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić visited the headquarters of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. today in Shenzhen, where he met with Zhang Yong, the company’s head of cooperation with the public sector and governments.

Huawei’s new technologies to improve police work

During the visit, Dačić praised the high level of cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and Huawei, highlighting significant projects completed and implemented so far, such as video-based traffic monitoring, expansion of the eLTE network and Project 112, a system of interconnected operational centres for rapid and efficient coordination of emergency services.
The interlocutors discussed the direction of further cooperation, as well as the possibilities of its improvement in the field of personnel education, study visits, exchange of information and training, with the possible opening of a research centre in Serbia.
Dačić expressed his support for all efforts for the further development of innovative technologies that will facilitate and improve the work of the police.
Zhang expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for the continuous support of Huawei, which has lasted for 15 years, since the launch of the company’s operations in Serbia.
