The Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that today's arrest of 80-year-old Tomislav Pantić in the municipality of Istok is a confirmation of Albin Kurti's intention to ethnically cleanse Kosovo and Metohija of Serbs.
The announcement states that Pantić was arrested on suspicion of being responsible for an alleged war crime, although in the past he often left central Serbia, where he lived in recent years, to visit his estate in Metohija.
Since 2021, 71 persons of Serbian nationality have been arrested arbitrarily, without grounds, in Kosovo and Metohija, as part of a campaign of intimidation with the aim of forcing entire families out of from our southern province, or to discourage them from wanting to return to their properties.
Under the guise of establishing the alleged rule of law, unscrupulous ethnic cleansing is being carried out in Kosovo and Metohija, which in the past year alone has resulted in the emigration of at least 15% of the Serbian population.
The Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija are denied the basic conditions for survival, and in the coming period, Serbia will more decisively than ever resort to all political and diplomatic means in order to prevent the crime against the Serbian people, the statement added.
